Name of an American Author’s Book?
I read it in college in an American Literature class
I believe it was an Africian American author but I might be wrong.
It was the story of a young black girl growing up and there was alot of symbolism with the fruit tree that was in the yard.
I wish I could remember more… guess that is why Im asking.
Did she actually grow up in the book? I keep thinking of the book “Their Eyes Were Watching God” It was written by a black woman and was just wonderful. Her name was Zora Neal Hurston. If you haven’t read it, it is a good read.
